Two years ago, my wife and I kicked off a new family tradition in lieu of trying to conform to the traditional (and unrealistic) expectations surrounding Valentine's day. Given that the Holiday is centered around love, we wanted to transform our focus our energy on paying it forward by donating to organizations that are making a positive impact on the world. In doing so, we hope to set an example for our daughter Evelyn.

While we are still having trouble meeting the February 14th deadline (life gets sooo busy!), we have kept up the yearly commitment. This year, we are proud to support the Community Roots Midwife Collective. This incredible organization provides education and access to quality care for women and families. We know that Evelyn's birth story was greatly influenced by our decision to work with the Boulder Midwives, and we want to ensure others have the same opportunity.

If you feel so inclined to help Community Roots Midwife Collective achieve its mission, please visit their donation page.
